About Minster, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Minster is a lovely village in Auglaize County, Ohio, United States. The population is just under 3,000 and it is as charming as charming can be. The town is ideal for raising a family and the seasonal weather creates opportunities for a wide variety of activities for kids.  They will be swimming the river or one of the nearby lakes in the summer and skiing down a hill in the winter.  Talk about the best of both worlds!

What makes this town all the more special and attractive is that all of the surrounding communities are equally as charming and interesting.  For example, nearby Troy was the location of the Hobart Welded Steel House Company which was one of the first companies to build pre-fabricated homes in the thirties.  However, the idea did not catch on until decades after they first tried out the notion. The Hobart firm manufactured 22 homes in their Troy location. 16 of those homes still stand and they are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.  From outside, they may look like typical “tract homes” but their walls have a more complex story to tell. In addition if the weather is nice (as in the summer or spring) to be out and about in the sunshine, you can also make the short drive to Sidney to walk around and take a look at some of their beautiful and important historical buildings such as the Second Empire courthouse; the Gothic revival Monumental Building, and the national landmark People's Federal Savings and Loan Association.

If you are looking for something fun to do in the warmer months then get outdoors at one of Tipp City’s municipal parks.  Nearby State Parks also include: Lake Loramie, Kiser Lake, Indian Lake, and Grand Lake St Mary’s. The warm summer months are perfect for swimming or fishing while the cool fall winds make for ideal hiking weather.  If you are interested in the history of the area then you cannot miss The Piqua Heritage Festival, an annual event at the site of the Col. John Johnston farm held each Labor Day weekend. In addition, the annual Country Concert is held in nearby Newport, Ohio each year in the heat of July. In short, summertime in this part of the world is exciting and fun for people of all ages.  There is much to do for kids and adults when the weather is warm.
