The village of Anna is located in Shelby CountyOhio, United States. The population just over 1,000.  This tiny community is an ideal place to live for those who want the convenience of a larger city like nearby Dayton with a small town feel. This lovely community is filled with sunshine and in the spring and summer and those seasons give way to the lovely fallen leaves of autumn. Just like that, winter rolls in and the town is covered in stunning white snow throughout the holidays.

Nearby State Parks also include: Lake Loramie, Kiser Lake, Indian Lake, and Grand Lake St Mary’s. The warm summer months are perfect for swimming or fishing while the cool fall winds make for ideal hiking weather. Other warm weather activities are easily found in this part of Ohio.  All of the surrounding small towns around Anna are brimming with history, charm and community spirit.    If you are interested in the history of the area then you cannot miss The Piqua Heritage Festival held in nearby Piqua every Labor Day Weekend.  Looking for some music from big, national stars? The annual Country Concert is held in nearby Newport, Ohio each year in the heat of July. Many country stars stop and play this well-known concert and festival. During the fall season, another nearby town called Sidney erects a large corn maze which is wholesome fun for the whole family. 

History buff? There is Overfield Tavern, one of Ohio's oldest taverns, located in nearby Troy. Just don’t expect a beer or a cocktail.  It is now a museum. It would be a great place to get shelter from the cold and warm up in the heated indoors during the winter.  If the weather is nice enough to be out and about, you can also make the short drive to Sidney to walk around and take a look at some of their beautiful and important historical buildings such as the Second Empire courthouse; the Gothic revival Monumental Building, and the national landmark People's Federal Savings and Loan Association.
